I am finally trying to pack my suitcase for my trip and am finding once again that I have an aversion to packing. I thought it was only related to moving but I now see that it applies to traveling as well. I find it incredibly difficult to pack for vacation because I must CHOOSE what I will take with me and, by default, what I will leave. I have a lot of things to choose from. Which also makes moving extremely difficult. Moving a lot of stuff requires days and days of packing which is a task I despise. Some day I’ll move and have movers pack my things and move them too (maybe they could pack my suitcase for vacation as well). I think this year’s New Year’s resolution should have been to lighten my load and make moving easy on myself. I’ll make it a mid-year resolution.
Despite the extreme aversion to packing, I’m ready to be on the plane taxiing down the runway. Only then will I stop obsessing about what I’ve forgotten to do at work or at home. Alors bien…
